Surrounded by forest and only a 5-minute walk from hiking trails, swimming, and lake access, this peaceful garden-level guest suite offers the perfect balance of nature, comfort, and convenience. Ideal for couples, small families, and outdoor enthusiasts, Forest Retreat provides a relaxing home base for exploring Victoria and the natural beauty of southern Vancouver Island.

Unwind in your private hot tub overlooking the forest, enjoy morning coffee or evening wine on two tranquil patios, and relax in the indoor infrared sauna after a day of hiking, sightseeing, or adventure. Thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, the suite features a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a variety of amenities to help you feel at home.

Occupancy: The suite accommodates up to 4 guests, most comfortably 2-3 adults or families with up to 2 children. Please review the sleeping arrangements to ensure the space is a good fit for your group.

• Private fenced garden surrounded by mature trees and forest views
• Bright and cozy sunroom with comfortable lounge seating
• Two-person infrared sauna for year-round relaxation
• One dedicated on-site parking space
• Private entrance with convenient self-check-in keypad
• Seasonal hammock nestled beneath the trees

🏡 A Note About the Property

Forest Retreat is a private garden-level suite located beneath our family home. We live upstairs with our 9-year-old daughter and our friendly 15-year-old black Lab, Guinness. While we enjoy a quiet lifestyle and are typically away during weekdays, you may occasionally hear footsteps, muffled conversation, or everyday household sounds. If you're looking for complete silence, our suite may not be the ideal fit, but guests who appreciate a warm, home-like atmosphere tend to love staying here.

Guests have full access to the backyard, including the private garden, patios, sauna, and hot tub area. The hot tub is shared with the hosts, but use is scheduled to ensure complete privacy during your reserved session. We respect our guests' space and generally access the backyard only for occasional gardening or light maintenance. During warmer months, you may also hear or see activity from the deck above or the front yard.

Families are warmly welcome. Please note that while we provide some family-friendly amenities, the suite is not fully child-proofed. Cupboards do not have safety locks, furniture is not secured to walls, and electrical outlets are not covered throughout the suite, so children should be supervised accordingly.
